Fur + Frills + Feathers

Highlights of the Haute Couture: Autumn/Winter 2011-12

I sat down and spent a while browsing through the latest Haute Couture shows. To be honest I was not exceptionally surprized by anything (I am still grieving over Alexander McQueen and good old days of the “wow-factor”…), but here are my favourite looks and details:

Valentino – light salad color dress:

Jean Paul Gaultier – fur lining:

Elie Saab – some shiny chrystals:

The headpieces in Armani Prive collection were fabulous:

Chanel – Feminine frills and feathers

Some more frills and feathers from Giambattista Valli in black and white (quite Chanel-ish (?) )

but this one is astonishing, I love the scarlett color:

So, my favourite collections were:

The 3rd place goes out to Giambattista Valli (see above).

The 2nd place goes out to the comeback of Mr. Azzedine Alaia:

And the 1st place belongs to the genius, magic touch of Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy:

Good night! I know exactly what I am going to be dreaming about tonight!!!!!! :)
