Alpines – Cocoon

I was blinded by you.

I think I found my new favourite song. And the award for the most stylish video goes to:

  1. Hi, Olesja!

    Very nice post! I really love Catherine Pockson’s beautiful vocals and the Alpines’ atmosphere…

    Congratulations on your excellent taste in music also :-)

      1. I just discovered Alpines a couple of weeks ago and its a pity that is so hard to find a CD of them even after searching it inside major internet sellers and phisical stores. Maybe they’re under-advertised amongst general audiences, who knows…

        I’ve checked it out your link… Super cool! I didn’t know GusGus until now – thanks for the tip!

        My favorites? Oh, my personal listen chart ranges from Nordic metal to W. A. Mozart (it depends on my mood and feelings) and I’m always looking for something good, unusual for the ordinary public, so, let’s try:

        * Schiller: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=u7lq9Y7au8w

        * Victoria Hesketh (Little Boots): http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PLDB8BD1D936DE325E&feature=player_detailpage&v=BJAiWfjcPeo

        * Katie Herzig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PL9781E1FDD8434042&feature=player_detailpage&v=gmMdQll3E7o

        If, by chance, you do not like the links above, just tell me …

      2. Alpines have really cool blog, did you see? Seriously what a good-looking band and awesome style. And as I understood, she draws as well. Very inspiring. I think I might make an illustration of them.

        Schiller is one of my all time favourites :) :) “Dream of you” is genius and so it “I feel you”. I have to check the other two you suggested now.

      3. Wow, they’ve an amazing blog… I didn’t know it either! And I’ve read that Ms Pockson is “an art school graduate who also studied fashion”. I give my full support to your idea of making an illustration about them – it will be really cool! ;-)

        I’m glad that you like Schiller – amazing high quality music in all meanings for sure. Have you heard the version of “Tired of being alone” Tarja Turunen? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=mbF0vsidpz8
