Here is an illustration of an awesome, fun, intelligent person who I am glad to call a friend – Anna! I painted recently this for her birthday party.
Finland’s Independence Day Ball at the Presidential Palace 2015. Many would have to agree that this year’s best looks were designed by the talented Mert Otsamo. Absolutely gorgeous!
Here are the illustrations of actress Tiina Lymi and jewelry designer / goldsmith Saija Saarela.

My illustrations for Florence magazine. The prints of the illustrations featured in the magazine will be available for purchase, and the profits will be donated to various charities the mentioned brands support.
More on this later. The magazine is available online for now HERE. Special thanks to Fi Anderson for this inspiring project.
Suvi Tiilikainen is absolutely gorgeous. In addition to that, she is a talended make-up artist. See her FB-page here. I made some illustrations of her with different make-up looks, using the color palettes from her photos. Three distinctive make-up looks every woman should try.
As the name suggests we are talking about tender pink, powder pink, lilacs, softness, light lips etc.
I really like how the eyes turned out (even if I say so myself :) , but the progress in watercolor technique is very important to me )
This look has much darker and stronger palette, yet still suitable for day wear.
The wine-colored lipstick brings out the eye color, so only greyish eye-shadow is enough.
3 Holywood Glamour
This look is perfect for parties and events. What can possibly be more glamorous than the red lisptick and some eyeliner. Like a movie star!

First Magazine illustrations, then a book project, and now – my paintings are on TV!
Some friends and acquaintances have already asked whether it was my art they noticed in trailers and ads of the new reality show on Fox channel. To be honest, it feels actually very nice that they recognized my style.
Here are some screen shots:
It’s here! Earlier this week I went to pick up the book “Upeana juhlaan” from Otava. The feeling when you are standing in Otava book store (Otava, one of the oldest publishing houses in Finland and which “ranks second among graphic communications publishers in Finland”), and then you receive a copy of a new book which has your illustrations in it – trust me, that feeling is exhilarating! Especially considering that this is my first book illustration project.
As I wrote earlier, this book was created by model-turned-designer Janina Fry, Make-up artist and former Miss Finland Suvi Tiilikainen and editor-in-chief of a magazine Katariina Kivimäki, who contacted me with a collaboration proposal to create illustrations for the book.
There are different illustrations:
- Body types
- Face shapes
- Dress models
“Upeana juhlaan” translates roughly as “Gorgeous for celebration”.
Special thanks to Suvi, Katariina & Janina!
